Hosts Qatar to take on Iraq in Gulf Cup opener

Doha, 17 November 2019 - Hosts Qatar will open their campaign in the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup with match against Iraq on November 26 at the Khalifa International Stadium, as per the draw details released by the organisers yesterday.

Qatar are placed in Group A along with UAE, Yemen and Iraq according to draw held on Thursday while Group B consists of Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain

The Qatar vs Iraq match will kick off at 19.30 while in the second match of the day, UAE will meet Yemen at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium at 21.30.

Group B matches will take place on November 27, with Oman taking on Bahrain at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium, at 17.30 while in the second match at the same venue, Saudi Arabia clash with Kuwait at 20.00.

The group matches end on December 2 and both the semi-finals will take place on December 5 at the venue and time, which is yet to be decided.

The final will be held on Saturday, December 8 at the Khalifa International Stadium.
