Doha, 21 November 2019 - The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) will organize the third edition of Team Flag Relay on Friday, December 13 to share pride, unity and inspiration through Team Qatar in celebration of this year's Qatar National Day (QND).
Present and retired athletes, schoolchildren, community members and the general public will have the opportunity to carry the Qatari flag across the country's iconic landmarks as this year's flag relay will begin from the QOC Headquarters, travelling along the Corniche to Qatar Foundation, Katara before the grand finale at Hamad International Airport.
The QOC's challenge this year is to have more than 5000 participants raising the flag as the registration to participate in the event will be opened soon through the QOC social media accounts.
The second edition of team Qatar flag relay brought together more than 1500 participants including present and retired athletes, ambassadors and 800 students who have covered more than 300km across Qatar via multiple sporting activities, including cycling, running and swimming reflecting the strength and depth of Team Qatar's athletes.
