Doha, 16 June 2020 - Al Sadd captain Gabi has decided not to extend his stay at the Qatari side, the player said on his instagram post.
The former Atletico Madrid star joined Sadd on 2 July 2018, and partnered veteran compatriot Xavi in midfield, and won the league in their first season together.
However, the 36-year-old has told his current club that he would not continue past his contract’s expiration date (June 30).
