QNB Stars League clubs’ squad members complete first set of Coronavirus tests

First set of Coronavirus tests

Doha, 17 June 2020 - Players as well as technical and administrative staff of Al Arabi club underwent the Coronavirus (Covid-19) tests on Tuesday, 16th June, 2020, at the Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah Hall, in accordance with the precautionary measures and in co-operation with the Ministry of Public Health and Aspetar hospital.

Members of the Al Arabi squad completed the necessary procedures and returned to their homes under self-quarantine until the results come, taking into account the health and safety of everyone. They will then enter the team hotel.

It may be noted that all clubs completed the first set of Coronavirus tests, as part of the arrangements being made ahead of the resumption of 2019-20 QNB Stars League, according to the general plan and protocol developed by the Qatar Stars League and approved by the Ministry of Public Health.

In this regard, the Qatar Stars League extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to all parties concerned for their co-operation in the testing process, headed by the Ministry of Public Health, and all healthcare workers who are considered as the first line of defence against the global pandemic. Thanks also went to the Aspetar hospital besides the clubs, players, coaches and administrators for their wholehearted co-operation during this difficult period when everyone needs to join hands together.
