Sheikh Abdullah’s Jumay makes perfect debut with Prix Imprimerie win in France

JUMAY

Paris, 13 September 2020 - The two-year-old filly JUMAY (FR) (French Fifteen x Scandalous) made a perfect debut to her career as she won the Prix Imprimerie de l’Oudon at Cholet, France on Saturday 12 September.

Owned and bred by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, the chestnut filly presented her credentials well in the in the 1900-metre race for two-year-old maiden fillies. She traveled on the outside of the racing pack in mid-division. Once in the straight, she came across to the stands-side rail to secure a net victory by a neck in front of pacesetter BAZOQUES (FR) (Le Havre x Beaudouville). HIGH LADY (FR) (Camelot x Grace Lady) was further three-quarters of a length behind in third.

JUMAY is trained by Henri-Alex Pantall and was ridden by Soufiane Saadi. She is a daughter of FRENCH FIFTEEN, who is owned by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani’s stallion and is the sire of 87 winners with this win, including HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani’s FRENCH KING, a multi-Gr1, Gr2 and Listed winner.
