Doha, 23 September 2020 - Middle-distance runner Jamal Hairane will lead Qatar athletes at the Wanda Doha Diamond League Athletics meeting to be held at the Qatar Sports Club on Friday.
The finale of the world series athletics meeting will see stellar Olympians and world championship medallists in action.
Hairane, an Asian Games medallist and who participated at the IAAF World Championships 2019 at the Khalifa International Stadium, will hit the track in men’s 800m event. With a personal best of 1:45.67, Hairane will aim to produce his season’s best in these challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic.
Other Qatar athletes include sprinter Abdelaziz Salem in men’s 200m, Nasir Mohamed Abbas in 400m and Hamza Darwish, Musab Abdul Rahman, and Yasser Bagharab in the men’s 1500m.
