Diario AS: During its current visit to the Qatari capital, Doha, a delegation from the US Congress visited Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, the first stadium in the world to constructed using shipping containers. The stadium will be entirely dismantled and repurposed after the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The visit was attended by: H.E. Sheikh Meshal Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United States of America, to the United States of America, H.E. Ambassador Holtz the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Doha, Qatar, and H.E. Hassan Al Thawadi, the Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the organisation responsible for coordinating amongst public and private entities to ensure that infrastructure and development projects are delivered in readiness for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
