Doha, 29 November 2020 - The competitions of Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Camel Festival for purebred Arabian camels kicked off. It is the first festival of 2020-2021 season and is being organized by Camel Racing Organizing Committee at Al Shahaniya and Lebsayyer racetracks until December 9, 2020.
In the morning competition, Al Diriyah owned by Masoud Saeed Al Hariri won the title of the main race after recording a time of 6.02.99 minutes, while Al Sadawiya owned by Fahd Mohammed Salem Al Zabadan finished second with a time of 6.03.61 minutes, and Al Shahaniya owned by Nasser Khalid Al Humaidi came third with a time of 6.06.93 minutes.
In the evening competitions, Shahb owned by Al Shahaniya camels won the main race with a time of 6.00.15 minutes, while Fada owned by Umm Al Zubar Intaj camels won the second race with a time of 6.00.99 minutes. Jarih owned by HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Hamad bin Khalid Al-Thani won another main race with a time of 6:00:69 minutes, while Medalal owned by Umm Al Zubar Intaj camels won first place after leading another race with a time of 5:59:75 minutes.
