A number of French media praised Qatar's success in restoring hope to the global football family, noting that Doha strengthened its organizational capabilities through the safe bubble through which it hosted many tournaments, including the Asian Champions League. Sport News 24 explained how Qatar has become a beacon of sports hope amid a crippling epidemic.
The French site added: "2020 may not be a good year for the sports family as a whole, but Qatar has presented better prospects for 2021 after it succeeded in hosting the AFC Champions League matches for the West and the East, with a total of 76 matches, played in three stadiums which will host the FIFA 2022 World Cup."
