Doha, 5 January 2021 - The 2020-21 season QNB Stars League’s Week 13 matches will be played on Thursday, 7th January, and Friday, 8th January, with three games on each day.

The Week 13 fixtures are Al Sadd vs Al Sailiya (16:15, Al Sadd Stadium), Al Rayyan vs Al Gharafa (18:45, Al Sadd Stadium), Qatar SC vs Al Kharaitiyat (18:45, Qatar SC Stadium) on Thursday, Al Duhail vs Al Wakrah (15:15, Al Duhail Stadium), Al Khor vs Umm Salal (17:45, Al Duhail Stadium) and Al Arabi vs Al Ahli (17:45, Al Arabi Stadium) on Friday.

Both Al Sadd and Al Sailiya will be confidence-personified when they face off.

Al Sadd (32 points) had extended their leap atop the table to eight points after beating Al Kharaitiyat 5-0 last week, while Al Sailiya (placed eighth) are fresh from their 2-0 win over last season’s runners-up Al Rayyan to be on 15 points.

Al Rayyan (sixth with 16 points) are up against third-placed Al Gharafa (23 points) in another heavyweight clash.

Al Rayyan will be looking to put their campaign back on track under new coach Laurent Blanc, whereas Al Gharafa, who drew 2-2 with Qatar SC in Week 12, will be keen to maintain their position in the top four.

Qatar SC (fifth with 20 points) face Al Kharaitiyat (last with six points) with the aim of  returning to the winning path that saw them record five consecutive victories before being held in the last two rounds. The Kings had played out a 1-1 draw with Al Sadd in Week 11.

On the other hand, Al Kharaitiyat have their back to the wall as they face relegation threat.

Champions Al Duhail will also be in upbeat mood when they take on Al Wakrah (ninth with 13 points). The Red Knights had improved from third to second position in the standings with 24 points following their 1-0 win over Umm Salal in Week 12.

Al Khor (11th with seven points) will also be eager to stay away from the danger zone as they clash with Umm Salal (10th with 10 points).

Al Arabi (seventh with 15 points) will target their fourth straight win when they run into Al Ahli (fourth with 22 points).
