HH the Amir attends closing of His Highness Sword Equestrian Festival

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani

Doha, 21 February 2021 - His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the conclusion of His Highnesss Sword Equestrian Festival held at the Race Track and Equestrian Club in Al Rayyan.

The closing ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani and HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa al-Thani.

It was also attended by a number of Sheikhs, Ministers, horse owners and fans of equestrian sport.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani crowned the winners of the sword and the prizes of His Highness race. The Amir awarded HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohamed bin Khalifa al-Thani the golden sword following the victory of Mon'nia in the eighth round of the purebred Arabian horse. The Amir awarded Ali bin Hamad al-Attiyah with His Highness award after Noor Al Hawa's victory of the seventh round of purebred horses.

His Highness the Amir awarded the silver sword to Abdullah bin Fahd al-Attiyah for Munir Du Soleil's victory of the sixth round of purebred Arabian horses, and the Shalfa to Shuail bin Khalifa al-Kuwari after King Pacha won the first place in the fifth round.

His Highness the Amir handed over the prizes to the winners of the first places in the jumping competition, and they are: Hamad Nasser al-Qadi, first-place winner, Nasser al-Ghazali, the second-place, and Saeed Nasser al-Qadi, the third-place.

His Highness the Amir awarded the prizes for the winners of the first four places in the heritage race, namely: Mohamed Kamaan Saeed al -Khayarin, Obaid Hamad Saleh al -Marri, Abdullah Rashid al- Hajri, and Mohamed Misfer al -Dossari.

The Amir also honoured the companies sponsoring the festival.

His Highness the Amir witnessed a part of the final rounds of the purebred horse competition, the final round of the heritage championship on the sand track, in addition to the main round of the His Highness golden sword for purebred Arabian horses.
