Doha, 27 February 2021 - Qatar Table Tennis Association completed its intensive preparations to host the first edition of the WTT Middle East Hub, which it will organize in cooperation with the World Table Tennis Association (WTT), starting Sunday till March 13, with the participation of a group of the best table tennis players and top ranked players in the world.

The tournament will be held in a health bubble system, where strict precautionary measures will be applied to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and ensure the safety of all participants in the event.

Officials of the International Federation, the World Table Tennis Association and the Organizing Committee held a meeting with the Advisor to the Minister of Health for Sports and Emergency Affairs Dr. Abdel Wahab Al-Musleh, in which the latest medical equipment and preparations for Qatar's hosting of this major global event that is held for the first time in the Middle East, followed by the Olympic qualifiers were discussed.

During the meeting, many important issues were addressed, such as the importance of health and safety of all participants was emphasized, as well as not allowing the audience to attend the matches during the tournament competitions, in addition to holding press conferences remotely with the video conference system.
