Paris, 14 April 2021 -Forbes has released its newest list of the top 20 most valuable football clubs in the world today. To not much of a surprise, Barcelona ($4.76 billion), Real Madrid ($4.75 billion) and Bayern Munich ($4.215 billion) rounded out the top three respectively in this list.
For Paris Saint-Germain, the club made the Forbes’ top 10 in this ranking for the first time as its $2.5 billion value topped out at ninth in the list. The club has made tremendous progress in its value as of late thanks to its 129% rise over the past two years.
For one, PSG had a strong 2020 with $599 million in revenue, which was more than clubs such as Chelsea ($520 million) and Arsenal ($430 million). PSG did come away from the year with a -$4.5 million operating income.
Among its successes off the pitch, PSG’s shirt sponsorship deal with Accor has been one of its standouts as of late. PSG’s deal with Accor tops out at an average annual value of $57.0 million, which is more than the likes of Juventus with Jeep ($53.1 million) and Tottenham with AIA ($50.0 million).
PSG continues to grow as one of the top clubs in the world.
