Dubai, 24 May 2021 - The Qatari Boxing Team participates in the Asian Men's and Women's Boxing Championships in Dubai, which continues until May 31, with the participation of 237 boxers from 21 countries.
Saeed Al Smikh, in weight 81 kg, and Fahad Al Amiri, in weight 75 kg, accompanied by coach Salim Lazraq, represent the Qatari team in the championship.
Assistant Secretary of the Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation Khaled Youssef Al Mas chairs the Qatari delegation.
The championship will witness strong competitions, especially from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan boxers, as they have a good reputation even at the global level.
Afghanistan, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, the UAE and Yemen are participating in the tournament.
