Qatar bag mixed skeet gold

Cairo, 7 June 2021 - The Qatar shooting team secured gold in the mixed skeet competition at the Arab championships being currently held in Egypt and which will continue until June 12, with the participation of more than 300 shooters representing 15 Arab teams.

Qatar’s gold in the mixed skeet competition was secured by shooters Rashid Saleh Al Athba and Reem Al Sharshani. This is the fourth medal in the skeet competition achieved by the Qatari team in the c’hampionship.

Earlier, Qatar’s Rashid Saleh Al Athba, Masoud Saleh Al Athba and Ali Al Ishaq won bronze in the team event which was won by the Kuwaiti shooters. Saudi Arabia won the silver medal.

On Friday, Qatar shooting team opened its campaign in the championship by winning a gold medal and a silver. Reem Al Sharshani clinched the gold in the women’s skeet event while Rashid Saleh Al Athba grabbed silver in the men’s skeet.
