Doha, 19 October 2021 - The Qatar Olympic football team tied with its Kuwaiti counterpart 2-2 in the international friendly match that brought them together at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar SC, as part of the preparations to participate in the qualifiers for the AFC U-23 Cup.
Qatar team goals were scored by Khaled Mohammed Saleh in the second minute and Youssef Abdul Razzaq in the 38th minute, while Eid Al Rashidi scored for the Kuwaiti team in the 57th and 63rd minutes.
Qatar will play in the qualifiers that will be held in Doha from October 21 to 31 in first group which includes teams of Syria, Yemen and Sri Lanka.
The Asian qualifiers will be held with the participation of 42 teams competing for 15 seats in the fifth edition of the finals to be held in Uzbekistan early next year.
