Drawing of lots for 2022 Asian Volleyball Championships

Bangkok, 19 March 2022- The drawing of lots for 2022 Asian Volleyball Championships, conducted on Zoom to determine pool composition and match order, has been completed.

Seedings in all championships have been made in serpentine system and according to the results of previous championships.

After successfully organising the 2018 edition, Taipei remains the battle ground for the 2022 AVC Cup for Men. Chinese Taipei will play host to the top-flight competition between August 7 and 14.

A total of 12 teams confirmed their participation in the intense eight-day event, with hosts Chinese Taipei, Bahrain and Thailand in Pool A. Iran, Korea and New Zealand are in Pool B, with Pool C consisting of Japan, Pakistan and Kazakhstan and Pool D comprising title-holders Qatar, Australia and Hong Kong, China.

On other hand, Iran will host the 14th Asian Men’s U18 Volleyball Championship between August 15 and 22, with a large field of 13 teams strutting their stuff in the eight-day event.

Hosts Iran, Australia and Qatar had been drawn into Pool A, with Japan, India and Kuwait in Pool B. Pool C comprises Korea, China and Iraq, while Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka are in Pool D.
