Jeddah, 18 April 2022 - Al Gharafa play Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in the fourth round of their 2022 AFC Champions League campaign in Group C on Monday, 18th April. The match will kick off at 23:15 at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.
Al Gharafa played out a goalless draw with Iranian club Foolad Khouzestan in their opener and then beat Ahal FC of Turkmenistan by a 2-0 margin in the second round.
The Cheetahs were held to a 1-1 draw by Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in the third round.
It is against this backdrop that Al Gharafa, playing in their first AFC Champions League since 2018 under Italian coach Andrea Stramaccioni, take on Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in their back-to-back matches.
Al Gharafa are leading Group C with five points, the same as Foolad Khouzestan of Iran but ahead on better goal difference.
Al Gharafa will look to retain the top spot in the group and directly qualify for the knockout stage.
Shabab Al Ahli Dubai are placed third with three points, from as many draws.
With the group stage into the second half, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai will target their first victory.
Both Al Gharafa and Shabab Al Ahli Dubai are unbeaten so far in the group.
