Doha, 29 May 2022 - The Qatar Prix du Jockey Club horserace will kick off June 5 in the Chantilly Racecourse in France. The Group 1 race in its 182nd edition is a result of the partnership between the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, and France Galop.
The Qatar Prix du Jockey Club is a Group 1 race, that is the highest category of horserace. The Main round of the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club is dedicated to three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies, for the distance of 2100m. It is worth mentioning that this prize is of Europes most prestigious.
The total amount of prizes in the race equal 1.5 million Euros, 857 thousand euros of which are assigned to the winner, making the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club one of the biggest financial prizes in France, second only to the Qatar Prix de lArc de triomphe that enjoys the position of world best horserace, which takes place in October of every year.
The Qatar Prix du Jockey Club will be accompanied by a variety of events, most importantly the equestrian shows performed by horse trainer and stunt rider Mario Luraschi and his team who head to Chantilly France yearly to perform their shows.
