Madrid, 24 July 2022 - Qatari rally driver Nasser bin Saleh Al Attiyah, the 4-time Dakar Rally champion, is close to winning his fifth title in the Baja Spain-Aragon Rally, the fourth round of the Cross Country Baja Rally Championship, which started with the participation of (92) cars. Al Attiyah achieved the best time in both stages of the race, in two hours, 28 minutes and 34 seconds.
Qatari rally driver Nasser bin Saleh Al Attiyah, the 4-time Dakar Rally champion, is close to winning his fifth title in the Baja Spain-Aragon Rally, the fourth round of the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas, which started today, with the participation of (92) cars. Al Attiyah achieved the best time in both stages of the race, in two hours, 28 minutes and 34 seconds.
The Qatari rally driver was 5 minutes ahead of Saudi Yazeed Al Rajhi and Brazilian Luke Morris.
The (Toyota GR Hilux) driver consolidated his position towards reaching the title by leading the first two special stages in the rally, with the rallys round concluding tomorrow Sunday, with a distance of 160 km.
It is noteworthy that Al Attiyah has previously won this rally four times in 2008, 2016, 2017 and 2021, and tomorrows stage will be crucial for the Qatari rally driver and four-time Dakar Rally champion, as he is distinguished by his timing and accurate knowledge of the stages path.
