Doha, September 25 (QNA) - Al Sadd defeated Al Wakrah 3-0 in Round 2, Group A of the 2022-2023 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Wakrah Stadium.
Baghdad Bounedjah (60th minute), substitute Hassan Ahmed (73rd and 78th minutes) scored the goals as Al Sadd moved on to six points, having beaten Al Sailiya 4-0 in their opener.
On the other side, Umm Salal scored a 3-1 win over Qatar SC in Round 2, Group A of the 2022-2023 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Ahli Stadium.
Ilyes Brimil (first minute), Sardor Rashidov (33rd minute) and Jonathan Kodjia (47th minute) scored the goals for Umm Salal, who moved on to six points. The Orange Fortress had beaten Al Ahli 2-1 in their opener.
Qatar SC played with 10 men for 45 minutes after Javier Martinez was sent off in the 45th minute.
Matches of the second round of the tournament will be concluded today, Monday, with three confrontations for the second group, Al-Markhiya vs Al-Rayyan, Al-Shamal vs Al-Gharafa, Duhail vs Al-Arabi.
