 Doha, 21 October 2022 - HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari stressed that the World Health Organization's (WHO) Global status report on physical activity 2022 calls for consolidated local, regional, and international work to enhance physical activity, which falls at the heart of the COVID-19 recovery phase, whether individually or a global community.
This came in Her Excellency's speech during her participation as a key speaker and a guest of honor at the inauguration of the first WHO Global status report on physical activity 2022 via video call conference.
Her Excellency stressed the need for concerted efforts to promote and maintain sufficient levels of physical activity and in return observe the progress of the world health level.
Her Excellency added that while the launch of the main global sporting event approaches, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we are certain that the tournament will establish a legacy for the fields of public health improvement and physical health enhancement will live for a long time in our countries and all around the world.
