This win brought the Samba Boys, who pursue their six World Cup trophy, atop Group G with three points ahead of Switzerland on goal difference.
Switzerland defeated Cameroon 1-0 earlier on Thursday.
Cameroon and Serbia come third and fourth respectively in the group standings with no points.
