Doha, 11 January 2023 - Vice-President of the Qatar Football Association and AFC Vice-Chair for West Asia, Saoud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi passed away today after a long struggle with illness.
HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, mourned Al-Mohannadi, through his Twitter account as he wrote, "May God have mercy on Saoud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi, Vice President of the Qatar and Asian Football Association, and may he rest in peace. He served his country with all sincerity and devotion. We belong to God and to Him we shall return."
Al-Mohannadi is Vice-President of the Qatar Football Association, Vice-President of the Asian Football Confederation for West Asia and Vice-President of the Union of Arab Football Associations Council. He was also elected as a member of the FIFA Council.
Al-Mohannadi is named among the distinguished Qatari sports cadres at the various local, Asian and international levels.
