Doha, 23 January 2023 - Al Rayyan coach Nicholas Cordova spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Gharafa.
“A difficult and strong match in which we need points, and our opponent needs to advance in the table, which was the same match against Al Sadd. It will be strong and decisive, and we will strive for victory.
“I do not think that the postponement affected the players as the team trained well and reached a high level. I believe that the players will play the match with the best readiness.
“I always have great confidence in the team. When the results were not good, it used to perform at good levels. I know that the situation is difficult, but I have great confidence in the team to provide good matches in the coming period,” said Cordova.
Al Rayyan player Nayef Al Hadrami said, “A difficult match and we need points from all matches to advance in the standings, and we are able to win.
“After returning from the break, the team is developing and performing better, and we will try to correct the mistakes of the last match against Al Sadd in order to win the three points against Al Gharafa.
“Al Gharafa are coming from a loss and will try to win. We will also strive for victory by following the coach’s instructions and playing as one group.”
