Qatar Lose to Argentina

Katowice (Poland), 24 January 2023 - Argentina defeated Qatar national handball team 26-22 at the end of the main round matches in the 2023 Poland/Sweden IHF World Men's Handball Championship, which lasts until Jan. 29.
The first half ended with Argentina leading 12-9.
The loss is the third in a row for the Qatari team in this round, after losing to the Netherlands 30-32 and Norway 17-30.
Qatar advanced to this round after finishing third in Group E after defeating Algeria 29-24 and suffering two losses to Germany and Serbia 27-31 and 24-34 respectively.
The participation of the Qatari national handball team in the World Championship currently being held in Poland and Sweden is its 9th time in its history after Portugal 2003, Tunisia 2005, Germany 2007, Spain 2013, Qatar 2015, France 2017, Germany and Denmark 2019, and Egypt 2021, where it achieved second place in the Qatar 2015 edition as its best result in the history of its participation in the World Cup, also qualified for the quarter-final round twice, in the editions of France 2017 and Egypt 2021.
