Paris, 28 February 2023 - FIFA President Gianni Infantino hailed Qatar's extraordinary hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, praising at the same time the late Brazilian football legend Pele and welcoming the presence of his family at the Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony.
In his inaugural speech at the Best FIFA Football Awards 2023 ceremony, the Swiss hailed Qatar's World Cup hosting as the best experience in the FIFA history. It is an opportunity to thank the State of Qatar once again for hosting this football festival in an exceptional way. They hosted a beautiful football event, he said.
