Cairo, 28 February 2023 - Qatar's Al Wakra defeated Kuwait's Kazma 3-1 (25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16) and advanced to the semi-final of the 41st edition of the Arab Men's Volleyball Club Championship, currently held in Egypt.
Al Wakra finished second in Group B with three victories over Oman's Al-Seeb (3-2), Yemen's Khabil (3-0), Iraq's Masafi Al-Shamal (3-2), and UAE's Baniyas (3-1), and one loss to Egypt's Al Ahly (1-3).
Meanwhile, Qatar's Al Ahli lost in the quarterfinals to Oman's Al-Seeb 2-3 (25-17, 26-24, 18-25, 24-26, 12-15).
Al Ahli presented strong levels during the group stage, winning four matches against Kuwait's Kazma 3-1, Palestine's Al-Sadaqa 3-0, Yemen's Al-Mina 3-0, Libya's Al-Suwaihli 3-1, and losing one against Bahrain's Al Nasr 0-3.
