Kuala Lumpur, 3 March 2023 - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan, Executive Committee member of Qatar Football Association and CEO of Qatar Stars League, as Chairperson of its Referees Committee. Mr. Ravshan Irmatov is the New Deputy Chairperson, in accordance with Article 33.2 (f) of the AFC Statutes (2023 Edition) and Article 9.9 of the AFC Organisation Regulations (2022 Edition).
It may be noted that Mr. Hani held the position of Vice-Chairperson of AFC’s Referees Committee during 2018-2023 and his new task to head it is proof of the great confidence in his capabilities, refereeing expertise and vision for the further development of refereeing in Asia.
