Doha, 10 April 2023 - Al Shahaniya qualified for the HH the Amir Cup semi-finals following a 4-3 victory on penalties over Al Gharafa after the match ended in a 3-3 draw at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Abdulaziz Al Yahri scored for Al Shahaniya in the 18th minute, and Amir Roustaei added the second in the 44th minute.
In the second half, Moayad Hassan netted for Al Gharafa in the 48th minute. But Ousmane Coulibaly scored for Al Shahaniya in the 60th minute.
Al Gharafa fought back in the final minutes of the match and scored two goals by Yacine Brahimi in the 75th minute and Ishak Belfodil in the 83rd minute to level the game 3-3.
Al Shahaniya won the match 4-3 on penalties to seal a semi-finals spot.
Al Shahaniya will take on the winner of the match between Al Sadd and Umm Salal on Tuesday at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
