California, 17 April 2023 - Qatar coach Carlos Queiroz has expressed his delight at having a new experience with the Al Annabi, the winner of the 2019 Asian Cup, hoping to lead the team to more successes in upcoming competitions.
Speaking on the sidelines of his participation in the draw ceremony for the 17th edition of the Concacaf Gold Cup, the 70-year-old said he was very proud of this new journey in his coaching career with the Qatari national team, hoping to use his vast experience to take the Qatar national team to the ranks of the major teams in all international competitions.
Qatar were placed in Group B of the Gold Cup along with Mexico, Haiti and Honduras. The tournament will take place in United States and Canada from June 16 to July 16.
The coach said the group will pose a strong challenge to his side particularly the Mexican side.
He added that the upcoming edition of Gold Cup in the USA will be exciting and will be the most watched event by fans due to the presence of big teams.
