Doha, 27 April 2023 - Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Gharafa.

“I hope to continue achieving positive results in our next match against Al Gharafa in Week 20 of the QNB Stars League, after we played a good match against Al Rayyan and the team deserved to win.

“We played fiercely against Al Rayyan and the concentration was high, as we succeeded in creating more chances. This is a result of the team’s high spirit with which we played and was the reason for winning points. Although we scored in the last minutes, we sought to maintain our superiority until the end of the match.

“I see that our next match against Al Gharafa will be the top of the matches of the round, especially as they are direct competitors for us. We must be more focused and determined, and hang on to our desire to achieve victory, especially since we are at the end of the season and the players may have exhaustion.

“In general, the stars of our team proved that they deserve to represent the club, and it is very important that we reap the fruits of our work from the beginning in the preparatory camp for the current season so far, especially since the planning of the team system was excellent and must have a distinct positive return,” said Safri.

Qatar SC player Jassim Al Jalabi said, “We distinguished ourselves in the previous match against Al Rayyan with confidence, and we played with high spirits that we always derive from the coach and management. We are now towards the end of the journey, so we must play our matches as if they are a final, and play with fighting spirit. We must maintain our focus in our next match against Al Gharafa and take the advantage in terms of performance and results.

“We deserve a better position than the current one, especially since we went through conditions that were not easy, and we seek to redouble efforts to be among the top four teams.”
