Yecheon/ South Korea, 7 June 2023 - Qatar's Ismail Dawood Abakar won the men's 400m hurdles. It is his second gold medal at the Asian U20 Athletics Championships in Yecheon, South Korea, with the participation of 500 male and female athletes representing 40 Asian countries.
The 19-year-old, who had on Sunday clinched the 400m gold, stormed to victory in a record time of 49.30 secs adding Gold Medal to his own record after winning men's 400m hurdles.
Qatari Athletes raised their record of colored medals to 4 Medals, 3 Gold and one Silver, as opportunities are still available to add two colored medals at the conclusion of the championship on Wednesday.
