Sports Media Committee to launch promotional booklets on Qatar at Copa America

Sao Paulo, 13 June 2019 - The Qatari Sports Media Committee will launch four promotional booklets on Qatar in four world languages on the sidelines of Copa America 2019 which will kick off in Brazil on Friday (June 14) and conclude on July 7.
The Qatari team is taking part on an invitation sent to the Asian champions by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). Qatar will be the first Arab team to participate in the tournament which includes Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Paraguay, Japan, Ecuador and Bolivia.
The promotional booklets titled “Qatar.. Legacy and Vision”, will promote the culture and heritage of Qatar and introduce its historical, geographical, tourism and economic aspects. The booklets will also shed light on the sports aspect with highlights Qatar while completing its preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022. 
They provide a comprehensive overview of the country’s most prominent achievements in the field of sports and how it became a sports capital, having succeeded in the organisation of successful tournaments and sporting events held during the last few years.
The working on the brochures took more than four months and the issuance will be in four languages, namely: Arabic (the official language of the state), Portuguese (as the brochures will be distributed in Brazil), Spanish (which is the official language of the rest of South American countries), and in English (the first global communication language among countries).
The booklets will be distributed to more than 4,000 journalists and media professionals representing South American countries as well as scribes from Europe who will be present to cover the events of the oldest tournament in history.
The 136-page brochure will highlight Qatar’s remarkable achievements in all sectors, including sports and the accomplishments made in the sports facilities and stadiums which will host FIFA World Cup 2022.
The booklets will also highlight the leading sports facilities in Qatar, including Aspire and Aspetar, and will include speeches for President of Qatar Media Corporation HE Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer al Thani, and Qatari sports media personalities. 
The booklets will provide a rich and reliable source for Qatar’s march towards achieving a 
sustainable legacy for generations and Qatar National Vision 2030.
