Jeddah, 25 July 2023 - Qatar Junior basketball team participates in GCC U-16 Basketball Championship that kicks off in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia today and runs until Jul. 31.
Three teams participate alongside Qatar Junior basketball team, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain, where they will compete in a league or round robin tournament and all four teams will qualify for semi-finals.
QBF Secretary-General Saadoun Sabah Al Kuwari expressed his great happiness for the full completion of all arrangements to hold the tournament, adding that the Qatari team is fully ready for the competitions through a camp held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing that the team is determined to be crowned.
During the upcoming period, the Qatari team will be well equipped and be in a perfect standby ahead of the Asian championship which is scheduled to be held in Doha next September, Al Kuwari added.
