Hangzhou, 19 September 2023 - The Qatari beach volleyball team (2), consisting of the duo, Mahmoud Essam and Abdullah Naseem, kicked off their journey in the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou by defeating South Korea (1) by 2-0.
The Qatari beach volleyball team are participating with two teams. The Qatar (1) team includes Ahmed Tijan and Sherif Younis. The draw placed the team in a group alongside Indonesia (2) and the Philippines (2).
The Qatar (1) team will start their matches on Wednesday facing Indonesia and will face the Philippines on Friday.
The Qatar (2) team will face Iran on Wednesday, while on Thursday they will face Macau.
The Qatari beach volleyball team, consisting of Sherif Younes and Ahmed Tijan, currently occupies third place in the world rankings with 6,580 points, which was earned during the participation in eleven tournaments and world tours in the recent period.
