Hangzhou, 27 September 2023 - The Qatari athletics team on Wednesday concluded their preparatory camp in the Chinese city of Shanghai, in preparation for participating in athletics competitions within the Asian Games held in the Chinese city of Hangzhou until October 8.
The 14-athlets team, participating in the track and field category, completed their 12-day preparatory camp, and arrived in the city of Hangzhou, with the aim of winning colored medals in the competitions.
In Indonesia, Qatari Athletes grabbed seven colored medals, including four gold medals in addition to a meeting record in the 4x400 relay race with 3:00:56 min.
The athletics competitions within the Asian Games will begin Friday on the field and track of the main stadium in Hangzhou with the final of the 20 km walking race for the men's and women's categories and will continue until October 5, offering 150 colored medals.
