Hangzhou, 2 October 2023 - Qatar’s 3×3 basketball team finished second after they lost to Chinese Taipei in the event final of the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Qatar’s 3x3 basketball team of Hamad Mousa, Mohammed Abbasher, Ahmad Mohamed and Omar Saad won the silver medal while going down fighting 16-18 in the final against Chinese Taipei.
Qatar had earlier defeated Mongolia 21-13 in the semi-final. The trio of Mohamed Zidan, Mousa Hamad and Ahmed Mohamed showed their high skills and ability to score points and reach the final of the competition.
Sunday’s successes took Qatar’s overall medal’s tally to 7 with two gold medals, 3 medals and two bronze medals.
