Doha, 5 November 2023 - Qatar's team B won the title of the GCC 3X3 Basketball Championship hosted by Doha at the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) hall with the participation of six teams from Kuwait, Oman, and hosts Qatar.
Qatar team B includes Abdullah Yassin, Bobo Magasa, Faisal Abu Issa, and Muhammad Ndo won the title after beating Kuwaiti counterpart 18-17 in the final match played today In another match, Kuwait's team B beat Qatar's team A 21-17 to win the bronze medal.
The two-day tournament is taking place as part of the agreements between the QBF and the Organizing Committee of Expo 2023 Doha.
QBF Secretary General Saadoun Sabah Al Kuwari expressed his happiness at Qatar team being crowned with the GCC 3X3 Basketball Championship title, thanks to the efforts of the players who did their best during the tournament.
Al Kuwari noted the importance of resumption of the GCC 3X3 Basketball Championship after an absence of about eight years, pointing out that the tournament will continue and its next edition will be held in Oman in February, after which Kuwait will host the next edition.
