Germany's Florian Peter Crowned

Doha, 25 November 2023 - Germany's Florian Peter was crowned champion in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol event at the ISSF World Cup Final 2023, which is hosted by the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association.
Taking place at the Losail Shooting Complex under the auspices of the Qatar Olympic Committee, the event concludes today. With the participation of the elite world shooting champions, 192 male and female shooters are representing 42 countries.
Germany's Florian Peter, a world championships bronze medallist, hit 35 from 40 to beat China's LI Yuehong, the reigning world champion and two-time Olympic medallist, by two shots for the gold medal. Indian shooter Anish Bhanwala scored 27 out of 35 for third place in the final.
The ISSF World Cup Final 2023 is being held for rifle, pistol and shotgun shooters. It will conclude with team events on Saturday.
