Doha, 12 December 2023 - Al Sadd coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League postponed match from Week 9 against Al Duhail.
“A tough game awaits us against Al Duhail, an important match for us, and I hope that our preparations for this match will be special, which I expect will be difficult and strong between the two teams.
“The pressure of matches in the current period is a bit difficult, but Al Sadd players have a professional mentality to deal with this situation. Currently, we are in an excellent stage in terms of technical and physical aspects, and I hope that we will reach our best levels against Al Duhail to score three points.
“Our fans are the source of strength for us and everyone saw that against Al Rayyan. I expect greater support from them against Al Duhail,” said Wesam.
Al Sadd defender Boualem Khoukhi said, “It will be a difficult match for both teams. We are fully prepared, especially after the recent victory over Al Rayyan, which will give us great motivation to continue the victories.
“Our focus now is on the league championship after stumbling in the Asian championship. Our goal is to make our fans happy by winning the league and other domestic championships.
“After the victory over Al Rayyan, we will face Al Duhail, then Al Arabi, all of which are difficult matches and require great work.
“We have the experience to deal with all these strong and difficult matches, and our goal is to score all points to stay in the lead.”
