Doha, 14 December 2023 - HE Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Yemen Nayef Saleh Al Bakri visited the Qatar Olympic Academy, where he was briefed on the role of the academy in spreading sports and Olympic culture, in addition to the various programs and specialized courses it carries out.
During his tour, HE the Minister was introduced to the various facilities of the academy and viewed its library, which includes more than 4,500 various books and references, including books on sports games and sciences supporting sports, in addition to the library of audio and visual materials.
The Minister announced the aspiration of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Yemen to establish joint cooperation with the Qatar Olympic Academy to develop Yemeni administrative and sports cadres and to benefit from Qatari expertise and capabilities in that field.
During the visit, the Minister was accompanied by Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, where he explained the stages of establishing the academy and the development of its various programs, courses, and activities.
The Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy pointed to the courses organized by the academy during the past year in various sports and Olympic fields that would raise the cultural, academic, and Olympic awareness of students, whether at the level of their daily lives or their professional and vocational lives.
