Saudi Team Arrive in Doha

Doha, 31 December 2023 - The Saudi national football team arrived in Doha today, to participate in the Asian Cup Qatar 2023 finals scheduled from January 12 to February 10, 2024, with the participation of 24 teams.

The Saudi national team will play three friendly matches in Doha against Lebanon, Palestine and Hong Kong on the 4th, 9th and 10th of January, respectively, before the tournament.

Head coach of the Saudi team Roberto Mancini had previously announced a 30-player list to participate in the national team's preparatory camp in Doha.

The list features: Nawaf Al Aqidi and Raghed Najjar (Al-Nasr), Mohammed Al Yami (Al-Ahly) and Ahmed Al Kassar (Al-Fayhaa) as goalkeepers.

In the defense line: Hassan Kadish (Al-Ittihad), Aoun Al Salouli (Al-Taawoun), Ali Al Bulayhi, Hassan Altambakti, and Saud Abdelhamid (Al-Hilal), Ali Lagami, Ayman Yahya and Abdullah Al Khaibari (Al-Nasr), Fawaz Al Saqour (Al-Shabab).

In the midfield: Ali Hazazi (Al-Ettifaq), Mukhtar Ali and Abbas Al assan (Al-Fateh), Faisal Al-Ghamdi (Al-Ittihad), Eid Al Mawlid (Al-Akhdood), Salem Al Dosari, Abdullah Al Maliki, Nasser Al Dosari and Mohammed Kanno (Al-Hilal), Sami Al Naji (Al-Nasr).

In the attack: Fahd Al Mawlid and Abdullah Radif (Al-Shabab), Khaled Al-Ghanem, Abdulrahman Gharib and Mohammed Maran (Al-Nasr), Firas Al Braikan (Al-Ahly), Saleh Al Shehri (Al-Hilal).

The Saudi team will participate in the Asian Cup Qatar 2023 finals in Group Six, alongside Oman, Kyrgyzstan and Thailand.
