Doha, 7 January 2024 - The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) has announced the 2024 sports calendar featuring 43 International, local, and regional events and championships.
The Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix will return to Lusail International Circuit later this year.
The calendar is packed with different motorsports events set to feature diverse global talent. Highlighted events include, the Qatar International Rally from February 1-2, the inaugural Qatar 1812 Km - FIA World Endurance Championship from February 29 to March 2, the 2024 MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar from March 8-10, Qatar International Baja from October 31 to November 2, and the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2024 from November 28 to December 1.
January is set to kick off with the first round of the FIM Mini GP Qatar and the Qatar National Sprint Championship. February includes the Qatar International Rally, round 1 of the Qatar Off-Road Championship, round 2 of the Qatar National Sprint race, ending the month with Qatar 1812 Km – FIA World Endurance Championship, leading into March, supported by the first round of the Qatar Touring Car Championship.
The calendar also includes the inaugural Qatar 1812 Km – FIA World Endurance Championship round.
In March, the 2024 MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar, supported by the first round of the Qatar Superstock 600 Championship will take place, as well as the Formula 4 event.
April features rounds 3 and 4 of the Qatar Off-Road championship and round 2 of the Mini GP race while May will bring round 3 of the Mini GP race the first three rounds of the Qatar Karting Championship, round 2 of the Qatar Superstock 600 Championship, and Qatar Touring Car Championship. Following shortly after in June, round 3 of the Qatar Superstock 600 Championship and the Qatar Touring Car Championship, followed by rounds 4 and 5 of the Qatar Karting Championship rounds.
The 2024 MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar will take place in March.
Competitions will resume in September with rounds 3 and 4 of the Qatar National Sprint races, round 5 and 6 of the Qatar Off-Road Championship, and round 4 of the Mini GP competitions. October includes rounds 5 and 6 of the Qatar National Sprint races, Mini GP, and round 4 of the Qatar Superstock 600 Championship, and Qatar Touring Car Championship and will kick off Qatar International Baja leading into November.
Qatar International Rally will run from February 1-2.
November also features round 5 of the Qatar Superstock 600 Championship, and Qatar Touring Car Championship, round 7 of the Qatar Off-Road Championship, and Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2024. December concludes the year with round 8 of the Qatar Off-Road Championship, and the MENA Karting Nations Cup Championship 2024 from 17-21 December.
