Doha, 22 January 2024 - Uzbekistan coach Srecko Katanec said Monday his side were prime for tomorrow's final group stage clash against Australia in the ongoing AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
The Slovenian told reporters in a pre-match press conference his men would take the game to the 2015 champions and 2011 runners-up at the Al Janoub Stadium, warning of the competitor's strength, specially in set-pieces.
Held to a goalless opener draw by Syria followed by a 3-0 victory over India, the former Slovenia, UAE and Iraq manager added that tomorrow's match would differ from the previous matches with both competitors having shown back-to-the-wall performances.
Katanec announced he would make some changes to the lineup in tomorrow's match.
