'Match4Hope' Director: The Initiative Aims to Support Quality Education for Children in Several Countries

Doha, 9 February 2024 - The State of Qatar is gearing up to host a historic charity football match, as part of the "Match4Hope" initiative.
The match which will bring together a number of international content creators and football legends, led by Youtubers, Chunkz and AboFlah.
Slated for Feb. 23 at the Ahmed Bin Ali World Cup Stadium, the match aims to spread awareness about the projects of the Education Above All Foundation, as all proceeds from the match will be donated to the Foundation's projects in Mali, Rwanda, Tanzania, Pakistan, Palestine and Sudan.
The full lineup of players for both teams participating in the match will be announced over the next few days by the "Q Live" platform, a cultural platform affiliated with the International Information Office, which is organizing this event in cooperation with the Education Above All Foundation and the Qatar Football Association. The event is sponsored by both Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways.
The match will be broadcast live in Arabic and English to fans from all over the world on Al Kass Sports Channels, beIN Sports, and YouTube for widespread follow-up.
The Director of the Match4Hope initiative Qassim Al Jaida, said in remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), that initiative continues the legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, using the power of football to raise funds to give disadvantaged people and communities hope for a better future.
He pointed out that there is more than one way to donate, either by purchasing tickets or by donating directly to the Education Above All Foundation through the match's official website www.match4hope.com. The amount of USD 25 contributes to the education of a child in any of the mentioned countries for a year, and the amount of USD 125 contributes to the education of a child from the first to the fifth grade, he said adding that initiatives like this can be life changing for a child.
Al Jaidah explained that tickets were put up for sale in three categories, CAT1, CAT2, and CAT3, via the Qatar Football Association platform, and they can be purchased by visiting the official website for the match.
Concluding his remarks to QNA, Al Jaidah revealed that the goal of bringing together content creators and athletes is to use the wonderful World Cup stadiums for humanitarian initiatives like this to be a legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, stressing that the initiative would also promotr Qatar's status as a capital of tourism and sports.
