Doha, March 3, 2019- The Ooredoo Ride of Champions is proud to announce Alfardan Group as an official partner of the 2019 edition, which will take place on 15th March at the Ceremonial Court of Qatar Foundation.
The event, organized by Qatar Cyclists since 2016, has quickly turned into Qatar’s biggest cycling festival and this year more than 1500 participants are expected to take part in the five rides included in the programme. The family ride offers parents and children over the age of 9 a chance to participate in a 5.8 km tour inside the premises of Qatar Foundation, while children aged between 3-8 years can take part in a fun 1-km race at the green spine. Three road rides will also be organized with different distances; 137.5 km, 78 km and 48 km.
Alfardan Group’s subsidiaries Alfardan Automotive Operations – the official importer in Qatar of prestigious brands like BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Land Rover and Maserati among others – and Prestige Cars will provide logistical support before and during the event, and that will include the official event vehicles to lead out the road events and transport for the event team to station some of the 150 volunteers.
They will also offer valuable prizes for the kids who will take part in the event, including BMW Baby Racer, BMW Baby Racer III M Sport, BMW Kids Bike, MINI Balance Bike, MINI Kids Tricycle, Land Rover Bike, Range Rover Kids mini-car, and more.

The sport of Cycling in Qatar has made great strides in recent years, especially after Qatar successfully hosted the 2016 UCI World Road Championships. The rapid growth can be seen through the constantly increasing number of participants in weekly community cycling rides organized by Qatar Cyclists.
